A 22 year old female was having pain in her abdomen. She visited best urologist in Pune, Dr. Bhoopat Bhati for diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Bhoopat did CT UROGRAPHY which showed Right PUJ Obstruction. The CT scan was also performed and it showed high insertion of the Urter with PUJ obstruction. Dr. Bhoopat also did DTPA Scan which showed Right Suboptimal Obstructed System. Also RGP Study done Intraoperative showed dilated pelvis with PUJ block and high ureteric insertion.
Dr. Bhoopat Bhati advised the patient to undergo LAPAROSCOPIC PYELOPLASTY to which she agreed and underwent it as a definitive operation. The intraoperative operative finding showed lower pole Renal vessels blocking the PUJ .PYELOPLASTY done with transposition of vessels. Dr. Bhoopat did the operation carefully within 70 minutes of time. The operation had minimum blood loss. The patient was discharged on day 3 of operation. We would also like to add that PYELOPLASTY is standard of care for this type of PUJ block case.
